The Silence of the lamiss. What more can be said about this movie that hasn"t already been said? It"s a fantastic portrayal of the criminal justice field. It"s a great portrayal of a female protagonist. It"s a near perfect portrayal of a serial killer. And a perfect performance by Anthony Hopkins. Anthony Hopkins owns this role as Hannibal Lecter. The role is his, and he"s never gonna give it up. It"s like Denzel Washington as Malcolm X or Forrest Whitaker as Idi Amin, you can"t imagine anyone else playing the character. It"s not hard to see why this is considered one of the greatest films of all time. I know there are sequels to this, and I"ll give those a shot, but I doubt they"ll be able to match up to this.

Overall: This movie is simply put fantastic. It holds one of the greatest villains of all time, accompanied by a performance that resist the stream of time. It well deserved the Oscars it got and I can definitely recommend it.
# POSSIBLE SPOILERS!
Good:
1. Anthony Hopkins was remarkable in his role as Hannibal Lecter delivers one of the most memorable and interesting villains in movie history, all thanks to his genius portrayal of the character.
2. Jodie Foster also did an excellent job as Clarice Starling.
3. Ted Levine was alright as Buffalo Bill and helms one of the oddest scenes I"ve ever seen in a film.
4. The story was alright.
5. The best parts of the film are when Clarice and Hannibal Leceter are simply talking. These scenes, while sadly not in great quantity, are phenomenal and are the highlights of the movie.
6. Perfect ending.
7. Nice and tight cinematography.
8. Excellent music that sets the tone of each scene well.
9. The movie is very tense and masterfully crafted. It"s genius the way its designed and is a testament to cinematic excellence.
Bad:
1. The best part of the movie is easily with Hannibal Lecter but he is in the movie for such a short time. Personally, I think that he should the movie should have been him and Clarice talking for 2 hours with her trying to figure out the location of a victim or whatnot. I just wanted him in the movie more.
2. Most of the characters are so god damn dumb it actually offends me.
3. The climax was underwhelming to say the least. I didn"t want a 30 minute action scene but what we got was just anti-climactic and dull.
